Bio:
Dr Piotr Nowiński was born in Warsaw and graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in his home city. In 2011, he earned his doctorate at the Department of Painting at his alma mater. Since 2005, he has been working at the Faculty of New Media Arts at PJAIT in Warsaw (currently as a lecturer). Dr Nowiński has been the vice-dean of the Faculty of New Media Arts since December 2017. He singlehandedly runs the “Interactive Cartoon” speciality workshop. His interests are both didactic and artistic in nature — painting, drawing and graphic design — and his artwork has featured in solo and group exhibitions in Poland, Romania, France, Japan, China and Germany. Since 2017, Dr Nowiński has been Artistic Curator for International Plein-air Painting Workshops and the Local Cultures Symposia.
