Bio:
Dr Monika Rzepiejewska graduation from the W. Gerson National School of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1996) and the Department of Interior Design at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2001). She did her postgraduate studies at the School of Pedagogy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2012). Since 2001, Dr Rzepiejewska has been working at her alma mater. In 2008, she defended her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Anna Sławkowska-Rode. In 2018, she completed her post-doctoral studies. Since 2009, Dr Rzepiejewska has been teaching part-time studies courses at the Faculty of New Media Arts Department of Interior Design at PJAIT in Warsaw. She designs exhibitions and is also involved in book design. Her most important works include: the “Animaliter. Talking Animals” temporary exhibition (2009); “DESERTED-REVIVED: the Greco-Catholic Orthodox groups of south-eastern Poland”, a cycle of temporary exhibitions (2013-2017); “Around the church in Smolnik”, an outdoor exhibition (2016); a permanent exhibition at the Parish Museum in Kraśnik (2015); “EVIDENCE OF A CRIME”, a temporary exhibition prepared together with Dr Barbara Kowalewska (2018).
