Bio:
Katarzyna Matyjek graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She attained her master’s degree in the following workshops:

— Graphic Arts (“Archiwum”)

— Poster Design (“Self-portraits inspired by the prose of Mikhail Bulgakov”)

— Treading the fine line between Theatre Scenery and Picture Canvas

— theoretical discussions from her master’s thesis… The Sensitivity of the Painter  The Magical Spirit of the Theatre (“Kantor contra Kantor”).

Matyjek is a five-time winner at the Graphic Arts Warsaw competition, winning the title of Graphic Artist of the Year in 2012. She received the Rector’s Scholarship for achievements in the field of Graphic Art in 2013/2014. For the past three years, she has been lecturing in Graphic Art for part-time studies at her alma mater. Since 2017, she has been working as a temporary technical support in the experimental screen-printing workshop at PJAIT in Warsaw.
