Dr Mateusz Hohol is a cognitive scientist connected with the Jagiellonian University’s Copernicus Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and the PAN Institute of Philosophy and Sociology. The author and co-author of many publications, Dr Hohol is the winner of the Political Science Award, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Scholarship for outstanding young scientists, and the “Start” Foundation for Polish Science Scholarship. Dr Hohol has been lecturing in cognitive sciences at the Faculty of New Media Arts at PJAIT since 2017. Drawing primarily from the methods of cognitive psychology, his area of engagement is mathematical cognition, i.e. the study of how the mind assimilates, processes and creates numerical and geometrical structures. Aside from research work, Dr Hohol is active in the promotion of science.
