Bio:
At the Faculty of New Media Arts, Adam Pietruszko is responsible for classes in Sound in Multimedia Systems (DSM) for full-time students; these classes cover the registration and postproduction of sound in accordance with the visual image. He also teaches Sound Production for postgraduate studies, where he covers topics related to acoustics, electroacoustic, the fundamentals of digital audio and the use of the MIDI system and sound synthesis. Pietruszko is co-author of “Logic Pro: Apple Digital Audio Workstation” (published by PJAIT), in which he describes in detail the use of deck MIDI instruments and synthesizers. A sound designer, sound producer and creator of electronic and experimental music by profession, Adam Pietruszko specialises in the created of sound, sampling and sound synthesis, both analogue and digital. He has created a sound bank for use in film and musical productions. His sound banks and sample packs can be bought via a number of leading soundware companies, including: Sample Magic, Zero-G, Plugin Boutique, 5Pin Media, Applied Acoustics Systems, Audiomodern, Melda Production, and Abletunes. Together with Qubiq Audio, he is also developing a series of virtual instruments, such as synthesizers, samplers and percussion machines. Pietruszko is a member of the Polish Association for Sound Producers. He is an author and reviewer of examination sets for professional qualifications in Sound Production Engineering and Sound Recording Engineering for the District Examinations Commission in Warsaw and the Central Examinations Commission. He has been involved in work on a new foundational education programme for the above-mentioned subjects for the Centre for Educational Development.
